Welcome to the website of St Francis of Assisi Catholic Ramblers. For information about the club click on one of the items

on the left hand side of your screen.

We have moved:  Please note that from May 2012 this website address will no longer be updated.  The address for St

Francis of Assisi Catholic Ramblers is now http://www.stfrancisramblers.ukwalkers.com. The new site is the now only place

with fully up to date information about the club. The photogallery is renamed "Members Photos" as the term "photogallery"

has a particular technical meaning in the new software we are now using.  A few of the very 1950s photographs we had on

the old site are not yet on the new one but I hope to get them up fairly soon now.  Meanwhile they have become inaccessible

on the old site due to advances in Microsoft software.  I am happy to say that there are even more photographs of events in

the 1970s,1980s, 1990s and the "naughties 2 of the twenty first century on the new site than there are on the old.  So do visit

our Members Photos page at http://www.stfrancisramblers.ukwalkers.com and enjoy photographic memories of many rambles

and social events.

The club has a walk every weekend, mainly on Sunday but occasionally on Monday Bank Holidays and some members arrange short midweek

walks which do not feature in the club programme.  Below are details of walks up to the end of May 2012.  You can just turn up at the station

indicated, look up the club

members near the ticket office at least ten minutes before the departure and be sure of a warm welcome (For more information about the rambling

club click any of the items in the left hand column to open it on this side of the screen) :

It is with deepest regret that we announce the death on 2 March 2012 of Philip Evans.

Phil had been a member of the club since 1967, had given many years of service on the

committee and led over 160 rambles.  He will be greatly missed.
